SAFER – Harm Reduction Action Center
The Harm Reduction Action Center serves more than 1,100 clients affected by injection drug-use every year. HRAC (formerly known as the Harm Reduction Project/Drop-In Center) is a recognized expert in providing HIV & Hepatitis C prevention programming, using harm-reduction principles to reduce the negative consequences of drug use impacting individuals, families and the larger community. Harm reduction enables us to meet drug users “where they’re at,” addressing the conditions of use along with the use itself. The Harm Reduction Action Center develops personal relationships with clients, guided by compassion, mutual respect, and evidence-based solutions, empowering clients to reduce the harmful effects of marginalized lifestyles.
The CYSO was founded in 1984 to provide orchestral experience for school-age musicians. The University of Denver contributed rehearsal and performance space and gave the new organization a $10,000 startup grant. Two orchestras began rehearsing in September 1984. CYSO’s concerts were held at the university’s Lamont School of Music from 1984-1994 and again from 1998 through the 2011-2012 season. Concerts are now presented at three sites around the city, and starting this fall, the CYSO will rehearse (as well as perform one concert) at the newly renovated Fisher Auditorium at the Englewood Campus.

Sexy Sheikh – Students for a Sensible Drug Policy
Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) is the only international network of students dedicated to ending the war on drugs. At its heart, SSDP is a grassroots organization, led by a student-run Board of Directors. We create change by bringing young people together and creating safe spaces for students of all political and ideological stripes to have honest conversations about drugs and drug policy. Founded in 1998, SSDP comprises thousands of members at hundreds of campuses in countries around the globe. SSDP mobilizes and empowers young people to participate in the political process, pushing for sensible policies to achieve a safer and more just future, while fighting back against counterproductive Drug War policies, particularly those that directly harm students and youth.
